As a coach, I employ various methods in my own work, which is largely based on systemic thinking and practice.  Under this umbrella is a useful tool, originally pioneered by Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer for use in family therapy.  I attended a 5-day coaching course with Kim Berg in 2001 and subsequently began to translate Solution Focused work, along with some other coaches, into the business arena - where it works well with individuals and teams that require a ‘jump start’ into some new behaviour(s) that begin, in turn, to make some small differences in the wider work environment.


I first met Cathy when she attended a sales coaching course at her company.  A couple of years later her boss (Dan) asked me to coach her after feed back from their team that “everyone was scared of Cathy.”
