I had been involved in coaching a specialist team at a City Law firm over a 9-month period. At the end of this period, its leader, Marianne, went on maternity leave. The new team leader, Steve, was part of a Partner Coaching & Leadership Programme I was also running at the firm, so we kept in close contact throughout Marianne’s maternity leave.
